I am an artist working in the mediums of photography and of words. Lately I am leaning heavily to the picture making side of my work. I photograph a wide range of subject material. It ranges from city buildings, houses, landscapes and Street Photography. I have recently rediscovered my love of photographing in the street. I seek in this area of my work to portray people as they go about their normal daily lives and i photograph them in ways that demonstrate their humanity to the viewer.This work, like so much else in my life, is guided by a kind of guiding principle, which is: There are no ordinary moments.
I also describe myself as a nomad: I have traveled a great deal in my life and intend to travel more. Being a nomad, of course, means that my entire life is a journey. And that's how I look at it. As a journey.
Right now I live in a small city (or is it a large town?) on the banks of the Murray River in Australia. Being married is a constant source of wonder and joy for me. As is having the company of two feral and now middle-aged cats.
I believe in the power of art to heal, to promote peace and understanding and to generally enlighten and enrich our lives. May my art have such an impact on all who honor me by visiting this site.
